Want to learn more about the rich history of tenant organizing and co-operative housing in Adams Morgan, DC? Join our community walking tour and fundraiser to explore the past and present of housing justice and co-operative homeownership in our neighborhood!

Led by DC historian Amanda Huron, we will learn about resident victories in the fight against displacement and gentrification in our neighborhood. You will also have the opportunity to support Park East Tenant Association in their current efforts to secure 88 more units of permanently affordable, resident owned housing in Adams Morgan. After hearing inspiring stories of tenants creating models for affordable home-ownership over the decades, learn how Park East residents are currently exercising their TOPA rights to purchase their building and convert it into a limited-equity co-op, with the ultimate goal of creating a community land trust that ensures the building's affordability in perpetuity.

NOTE: Tickets are helpful but not required for this event. Register for free here on Eventbrite. Please bring your friends and neighbors!
