We are currently looking for short-term and long-term financial and community support.
​We have several immediate expenses for the limited-equity co-op formation process, such as inspection costs. We also need donations and low-interest community loans to offset the purchase cost of the building.

For example:

A $1000 donation funds a necessary consultation with maintenance and co-op-development experts.
​​

A $2,500 donation can cover the share price for one unit, ensuring that a resident has no upfront costs to remain in and become the owner of their current home.

A $10,000 donation covers most of the cost of the inspection required by HUD
​​

A short-term community loan at <%20 interest helps us finance the cost of the building while we wait for our long-term HUD funding to come through.

A long-term community loan at <6% interest keeps co-op fees more affordable for the next 30+ years.

Any amount of monetary or community support helps us reach our goal of creating access to debt-free home ownership for people of mixed incomes in Adams Morgan!

We have partnered with North American Students of Cooperation (NASCO) to be our 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Thank you, NASCO!
If you are interested in making a tax-deductible donation to Park East, it will be routed through NASCO, who will issue necessary documentation.
You can make a tax-deductible donation to Park East in one of three ways:

Make a payment online via PayPal (credit/debit, PayPal)

Write a check payable to "NASCO" and write "Park East" in the memo to ensure that it goes to our co-op project. Mail the check to: NASCO, P.O. Box 166140, Chicago, IL 60616

Request an invoice to pay online through quickbooks: Email rebecca@nasco.coop and 1845summit@gmail.com to let her know the donation amount and to make it to Park East.
Because of the fees associated with fiscal sponsorship, we ask that any tax deductible donations through NASCO are $1,500 or more. Thank you for your understanding!
